Template Administration
A user who has been granted the ‘TemplateAdmin’ role will have the ability to administer email templates for that service.
Each service will trigger its own automated email responses, however the contents of each of those emails can be managed and updated by the TemplateAdmin.
Click the ‘Email Templates’ button to view a list of all your services email templates will be displayed.
Please Note- If your service provides hard-copy notifications, then letter templates will also be displayed in this list.
Click the ‘Edit’ button next to the template you wish to update.
The user can then make changes to the contents of the email (or letter). A text editor provides users with standard formatting choices.
Please Note - any text which appears within curly parenthesis {} cannot be altered/deleted as it is a variable which will be replaced by real data when the email is sent (examples highlighted in the above screenshot)
Once saved, the changes will take effect immediately – therefore any emails issued by the service from this point onwards will contain the changes. It is therefore important that access to this role and functionality is controlled and audited.
