Service Administration

This page contains details of the roles and configuration available to the DFC Service Administrator. Instructions for maintaining these are given in the platform Administration Guides

User Roles

User Type	Description
RoomBooker	This user is able to book rooms, view and edit their bookings and cancel any existing bookings they have made.
Block Booker	This user can make, edit and cancel their own repeat bookings. They can view and export a list of all recurring bookings.
Room Booking Admin	This user has all rights of the RoomBooker but they can also create new buildings, floors and rooms for others to book.

Service Roles

User Type	Role	Description
Service Administrator	ServiceAdmin	this role allows a service administrator to provision users for the service. This user has additional functionality available in the application.
Template Administrator	TemplateAdmin	This role allows a user to manage and maintain the email templates
Static Data Administrator	StaticDataAdmin	This role allows the user to manage and maintain any configurable text or dropdown lists displayed to users on the service.

Note

These roles can be granted singly, together or in conjunction with other roles.

Email Templates

Email substitution parameters

In the Edit Email Template screen, the user is able to edit the 'From Address,' 'Subject,' 'Bcc List,' and 'Template Content.'

Any text which appears within curly parenthesis {} is a variable which will be replaced by real data when the email is sent.

Note

Once saved, the changes will take effect immediately – therefore any emails issued by the service from this point onwards will contain the changes saved by the TemplateAdmin.
