New Features

Careers Adviser - DOB`s Updates

A Careers Adviser can now update a record`s DOB within the Student/Adult "Detailed View" screen. This ensures:

1. That the subject’s Personal data, in this case their DoB, can be corrected during the face to face Careers interview.
2. That Students can pass their DOB security questions when logging into the system to access their feedback section.

Once completed this change is reflected within the "Action History" for the impacted record.

Careers Adviser - email Address Updates

A Careers Adviser now has the ability to update a record`s email address within the Student/Adult "Detailed View" screen. This ensures:

1. That the subject’s Personal data, in this case their email address, can be corrected during the face to face Careers interview.
2. That Students will be issues their Careers related communications to their correct email address.

Once completed this is reflected within the "Action History" for the impacted record.

Work Experience Dates Non Mandatory

Dates selections are no longer mandatory when Adults are requested to update their work experience details. This ensures that the Careers Application form can be completed even if Applicants don't know the dates of their previous work experience.

Careers Adviser - Work Off Line Capability

A Careers Adviser can now generate and locally save a PDF record for a Student Application for use when their internet connectivity is poor/limited.

1. PDF's can only be generated while the Adviser has connectivity to their network.
2. A PDF is generated by selecting the Green PDF button at the right had side of the Student`s row.
3. The PDF is named after the Student.
4. The save location needs to be defined by the Careers Adviser.
5. Once generated and stored the PDF needs to be managed by the Careers Adviser (save, Delete or Amend).

Additional Adult Applications

An Adult can now initiate further Careers Advice Applications once all their previous applications are marked as "Complete" by their Careers Adviser. This is important as unlike a student the Adult will need additional guidance more often than Students.

Note: Students cannot create an additional Careers application until their existing application has been "Removed" from the system.

Changes To Field Names Within The School "Detailed View"

2 Heading/field names have been changed within the School`s "Detailed View" screens to make their purpose clear:

1. "Contact Email" for the school has been renamed "General School Contact Email".
2. "Adviser Email" has been renamed "School Adviser Email", this field is the cc'd email address for the School's Adviser.

Change to BetterGid Columns - Look and Feel Enhancement

When looking at the at the School View level, the better-grid was large and to navigate it required use of a scroll bar. The School I.D. Column has now been removed, as it was not required, this makes the view easier to navigate.

Change To Document "Save Name" For Student Action Plans

When saving the Action Plan, the system now incorporates both the Students First and Last Names into the document title. This makes it easier to identify documents belong to specific Students.

Bug Fixes

Careers Adviser - School reallocation Now Includes Town Details

If advisers need to manually reallocate a Student to an alternative School, the alternative School can now be identified using a concatenation of both the "School" and "Town" names where the school is located. Adding the town name details helps Advisers & Students differentiate between multiple school name instances by the location of the school.

MI Generic Performance Enhancements

Mechanisms to generate the MI have been enhanced to deliver quicker response times. This enhances the flow of the user experience as well as the emotional feel good factor while the service is being used.

View Code has been adjusted to deliver quicker response times. This enhances the flow of the user experience as well as the emotional feel good factor while the service is being used.
