New Features

This release contains the following new features:

Ability to schedule a location's unavailability

New functionality to schedule the unavailability of buildings, floors and zones configured on a service. For example, if a building is scheduled to be unavailable between a particular set of dates, then users will be unable to book desks within this building for those dates, no desks will be returned for the time limit configured.

Booker's department email recorded for reporting

Reason for change: When booking a desk, the system requests an email address from the person making the booking. The Departmental Slot Report uses the domain of the email address supplied on the booking to generate a departmental breakdown of bookings/cancellations. As many bookings were made using non-departmental emails (such as Hotmail, Outlook etc...), they were not being counted under a NICS department, therefore, the following change has been implemented.

Change: Nothing has changed for the user; they can still supply a non-departmental email where their confirmation will be sent. However, the system will now also record their departmental email address from their profile.

This is then used by the Department Slot Report, to count the booking under the booker's department.

Note that this change only affects new bookings going forward.

The Booking Details Report has also been updated and now displays the departmental email of the booker regardless of the email they supplied when booking.

Note that this change only affects new bookings going forward; any bookings made before this change will still show the email entered by the booker

Default new bookings to 'For Myself'

When users select either 'Book a Desk' or 'Book Multiple Desks', the system will now automatically default to the 'For Myself' option on Step 1 - Personal Information.

Occupancy Report updated

As requested, the exported occupancy excel report column header has been updated from 'weeklySpaces' to 'availableslots'.
