New Features

Student Contact Number Mandatory

Contact phone number (home or mobile number) is now mandatory on Step 1 of 5: Personal and Contact Details. If a number is not entered the following error message will display.

Rate It Added

To enable students to provide feedback about the careers service application, 'Rate IT' service has been added at the end of the student form.

Clicking this button will open Rate IT in a new window, where a student can submit their rating of the service.

Data Retention Category Removed

Data Retention Category has been removed as this field does not require input from users.

Add File Upload Removed

As Careers Advisers can now generate Action Plans. There is no longer a need to upload files. The 'Add Files' button has been removed.

Additional Validation to view Summary

An additional validation page has been added before the student has the ability to view their online student from summary.

If the system recognises a duplicate email address being entered, it will display this message.

Clicking view summary will open a new 'Verify Identity' screen prompting the student to validate their C2K email address, date of birth and application reference ID before a summary is displayed.

Note

Students can retrieve their application reference ID from their confirmation email.

Number of Mandatory Subjects Reduced

Process

The number of subjects entered in Step 2 has been reduced to 4. In order to facilitate students who may only study 4 subjects to proceed to Step 3.

Configuration

This number is now configurable and has been defaulted to 4. To change this number click into 'Text Management' under 'Static Data Management.' Click 'Edit' Minimum Mandatory Subjects.

In the textbox, replace the number 4 with a new numerical figure. Click 'Save' to save changes.

Warning

If the data entered into this textbox is not numerical the system will default back to 4 subjects.

Process

To enable the student access to NIDirect website the 'Continue' button at the end of the student application will now open a new tab directing the student to the Careers Service landing page:

DEF25 - Change Support Staff View

As support staff are not required to view/process feedback, the 'CareersAdmin' role which is provisioned to support staff has been altered. A user granted the 'CareersAdmin' role no longer has visibility over student feedback.
